Simple Shrimp Fried Rice

Ingredients
  • 1 can Blue Crab Bay® shrimp, drained
  • 1 egg, beaten with 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2-3 cups fresh bean sprouts
  • 1 cup sliced green onion with tops
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 cups cold cooked rice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • Vegetable oil or sesame seed oil
Instructions
Set drained shrimp aside. In a skillet, scramble egg in butter over medium heat and set aside. In a wok or large skillet, stir fry onions and bean sprouts in 2 Tbsp. oil for about 2 minutes. Cover and steam until slightly tender. Remove vegetables from skillet. In the skillet, stir fry the shrimp about one minute, then drizzle with honey and stir fry another half minute to glaze the shrimp. Sprinkle with garlic powder then remove from pan. Stir soy sauce into the cold rice until it is evenly absorbed then add rice to the skillet and stir in the vegetables and ginger. Stir fry about a minute over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and stir in the scrambled egg. When hot, serve immediately. Serves four.
